Levy M4GF Bass Strap Reviews 5

Available in brown or black, this is a nice 3 1/2' wide padded Italian glove leather (ooooh! Italian!! ooh! Glove!!! Think Homer Simpson) bass strap. I've been playing bass for 45 years.

Originally bought this eight years ago and paid around $50 at a local music store. Just ordered a new one from Musiciansfriend for $29.95. List price is $63.

This is a soft, flexible padded Italian glove leather strap that's exactly wide enough for bass -- 3 1/2'. The back will not slide or stick to your shirt or jacket -- stays where you put it but can be adjusted easily during playing if you want to slide the bass up or down on your shoulder in a moment of showmanship. Length is adjustable by a series of slots. No metal to scratch your bass. I really like the fact that the Levy's logo is subtle instead of in your face like on some of their other straps.

Absolutely perfect. But if you like to adjust your strap length quickly, this isn't the strap for you. You have to unthread the thin part of the strap from a series of slots in the wide part. Once it's set, it stays.

Very well made. Soft, supple, quality leather. Nice padding without being bulky. After eight years of use, there is not a crack, not a loose stitch. No stretching. Never had a problem with this strap.

The Levy's M4GF 3 1/2' padded Italian leather bass strap is great for heavier basses but works well even on light ones. Best of all, it costs only $30 + shipping, although you might find them locally for near the list price of $63. No metal pieces, easy to adjust Although you can't do so 'on the fly' as you can with some Velcro or buckle straps.
